CHARLENE KEEL, AUTHOR
Charlene Keel’s first success in publishing was with a short story in Teen Magazine when she was in her early twenties. She went on to write over a dozen novels and how-to books as well as multiple episodes of popular TV shows. She has also written screen adaptations of novels, including Patricia Hagan’s Love and War, Rebecca Brandewyne’s The Jacaranda Tree and Peggy Webb’s Where Dolphins Go. Most recently, Keel co-authored The Congressman’s Wife, the first book in a new women’s fiction trilogy. She also co-authored The Tracks, a YA supernatural trilogy, for HCI Books. Shadow Train, the final installment, won a Paranormal Romance Guild Reviewer’s Choice Award. Keel’s TV credits include multiple episodes of Fantasy Island and Days Of Our Lives, and her Dell book, Rituals, was the basis for the first made-for-syndication soap opera. She also scripted the pilot for Romance Theatre and produced (for Romantic Times Magazine) the first annual Mr. Romance Cover Model Pageant, which became the model for Oxygen’s Mr. Romance. Keel has also worked as editor and managing editor for a few international magazines, and she ghostwrites books and screenplays for celebrities, doctors, corporate moguls and anyone who has an interesting story to tell.
